Everest Movie

Meteotest supported Adventure Consultants with detailed weather forecasts for the filming of "Everest" in the Khumbu region and in the Val Senales in the Alps. A 3D movie worth watching in the cinema:

Read what Guy Cotter of Adventure Consultants says about the movie.

"1996 was a tough year on Everest, and as I was in the region climbing Pumori, I became involved in trying to help coordinate the rescue from base camp as was depicted in the recent `Everest' movie. In late 2013 I was asked to help out with advising on the movie to ensure authenticity and to manage safety during the mountain filming components of the project which saw me working with the crew for 4 months in Nepal, Italy's South Tyrol and in Pinewood studios in London. It wasn't easy for me reliving the tragic events where I lost close friends but I did (mostly) enjoy the way the film was focused on the power of the mountain as opposed to petty human conflicts as is often the case when non climbers make mountain movies"
